About foundation
The reason of re-establishment of Randa's foundation by association of Czech lawyers Všehrd is belief of importance Antonin's Randa's tradition for contemporary Czech society. In 1882 in House of Lords of Imperial council, Randa encased in resurrection of technical department of Charles-Ferdinand University. This lead to dividing of university on German and Czech part. The divide wasn't intense of Rand, his creed was cosmopolitan science.
Its goal was and will be support of talented students and awarding excellent scientific work developing Czech jurisprudence. Foundation was originally established as reaction to devastating economic crisis in 1873. Randa thought that reason of this disaster was not insufficient legislature but insufficient “natural politeness” of society. Randa's masterful feel for beauty, justice and good for near-one is included in term of “natural politeness”. This is the actual message to contemporary society. Without natural politeness liberal economic is malfunction and college education is imperfect.
Purpose of foundation
Accordance with spirit of founder professor Antonín Randa the goal of foundation is care for Czech jurisprudence according to history of Czech nation and contemporary context of legal progress.
By Randa it is necessary provide “education for sensibility of justice”. This need is extraordinary insistent by maturing lawyer generation. This is the reason why the activity of foundation are oriented at support of law students and talented young lawyers.
This goal is realized in this forms:
- Cooperation with association Czech lawyers Všehrd by supporting their cultural and educational activities, their members and other students of Law faculty of Charles University.
- Randa's foundation by association Czech lawyers Všehrd with kind support of attorney office PRK Partners s. r. o. grants Randa's foundation award of remarkable thesis to support development of jurisprudence and talented students of Czech law faculties.
- Cooperation with Swiss association “Randa Verein” which administrative and financially support study of Czech lawyers abroad and develop other activities in Switzerland and Czech republic.
- Cooperation with Union of Czech lawyers and other lawyers' organisations which participate in development of Czech jurisprudence by members of Czech lawyer community after graduation in practice.
